THE TANNADICE STORY

Tannadice Farms is owned and operated by Allen and Heather McWilliam, plus our invaluable team members. From 15 acres in 1974 to 105 acres of farm buildings, cropland and forest in 2024, we have grown our business from a small herd of Angus cattle to a hog , cattle and small scale turkey operation. We are located in the Dove Creek area of the Comox Valley, about 5 minutes from Courtenay.

A LEGACY OF VALUE-BASED FARMING

Do you know where your meat comes from?

This is a question we take very seriously. When we began Tannadice Farms in 1974, we wanted to produce meat that came from the heathiest and happiest animals. We believe well-treated and properly fed animals guaranteed the finest quality of beef, pork and turkey. With that in mind, we established a farm that produced animals raised with the utmost of care. The meat you eat from Tannadice Farms is not only raised and processed in the Comox Valley, but the animals are also born on the farm. You can’t get any more local than this.

Consumers should be aware of where their food is produced. Supporting Vancouver Island agriculture benefits everyone on the Island. It provides employment on the farms themselves, at the processors, the feed mills and equipment dealers etc. Everyone enjoys the pastoral farm settings now visible on the Island. In order to preserve these beautiful vistas we need to have viable farms.
